National Association of Nigerian Students - Ghana Chapter, popularly referred to as "NANS-GH" or "NANS-Ghana" is the umbrella body of all Nigerian students in tertiary institutions across Ghana, duly recognised by the Federal Republic of Nigeria, her diplomatic missions and the respective host government agencies, parastatals and departments.
Statistically, Nigerian students are the most populous in the international student community in Ghana making "NANS-Ghana" the largest international student organisation in Ghana with presence in over 50- Universities, Colleges and Institutes across the country. It is largely so, that two of every three international student in Ghanaian institutions are Nigerian students.
The respective Nigerian students community across the schools participate in NANS-GH as a "member bloc or Member Union" referred to as 'Nigerian Students Association - {University name} for instance, N.S.A-Wisconsin or N.S.A-AllNations or participate through the platforms approved by the respective school authorities either through the I.S.A (International Students Association), SRC (Students Representative Council) or Student Committees as constituted by the school management.
The aims and objectives of NANS shall be: -
To harmonize and co-operate the activities of all Nigerian students in Ghana.
To preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the National Association of Nigerian Students - Ghana Chapter (NANS-Ghana chapter).
